It's been a couple of days since y/n stop coming to school and Hanako-kun felt very lonely ever since. He tried to ask Yashiro about it and the radish girl said that y/n can't come to school due some illness she's having right now. Everyday he visits Yashiro's class, hoping the girl would be there with her happy smile. But she isn't. Her sit is always empty and it makes the ghost boy feel upset.
Sometimes he will just sit there, trying to feel the warm that the girl left for him. It's never enough to fill the loneliness in his heart. Other time, he will go to the library and gaze down to the school yard like y/n usually do. He will pick some books with genre that y/n usually like. And his heart will clench when it comes to his memory that one time y/n intentionally went to astronomy books shelf out of curiosity so she could understand him better. She smiled so brightly with her shiny eyes, looking down to constellation pages that lays on her lap. Oh, just how much he missed her. Her laughter, her sing-song voice, the eyes that curious and full of adoration. He missed all of that. He missed her warmth.
Day by day passed like that. And one early morning, Hanako can't believe his eyes. At the school gate, when the sun still peek shyly, the love of his life standing there with a smile.
"Hanako-kun!" Her voice sounds like a bell in Hanako's ears. He flew fast and hugs her tightly.
"Y/n, you're finnaly back!" He exlaims happily.
Wrapping her arms in Hanako-kun frame she nods, "Yeah, figured out you'll missed me this much."
Thank god there's nobody around yet, so no one will think she's crazy for hugging some thin air. Her boyfriend finnaly let go of his hug to cup her cheeks with eyes full of worry, "are you alright now?"
Y/n smiles weakly, "I'm fine, but not that full of energy yet. I missed you a lot tho. I feel so lonely to stay at home without you." She gaze away shyly.
She thought Hanako will tease her but he just hugs her again and lean his head on the crook of her neck. "Me too. I'm so lonely without you."
Y/n's heart skips a beat. It doesn't feel fair when Hanako acts this cute. He makes her fall for him all over again! Little did she know that Hanako felt the same way the moment she turn her eyes away from him.
"Ha-Hanako-kun, why don't we go in now? The others will come soon... It's embarrassing to keep hugging here–" Y/n suggested, all flustered.
"Okay then, let's go in!" Hanako cheerfully grab her hand only to see her stumble on the first two steps they took from the gate. He stops and gaze at her quietly before scooping her in his arm. "Let's go in like this. I don't want you to fall."
"Wha–!" She hugs his neck fast, feeling scared of the height. What if she falls? That's gotta hurt a lot. "Put me down. It's heavy right?"
"No. Not really. You're not heavy at all. In fact, I could say that you're even lighter than Yashiro. You should eat more don't you think?" He said lightly.
That stabs y/n's heart since she's been hearing that a lot from everyone. She's too thin and small–and she doesn't like it. In her ears it sounds like everyone calls her weak, which is true cause she often got sick and lately it just got worse. The doctors keeps telling her that she will die soon, which she often ignores cause she's been hearing that since she was a kid, yet she's still alive until now. And besides, it doesn't sounds so bad. If she dies, she will become a ghost and then... She can have an eternal relationship with Hanako-kun right? Of course she never tell him that, he will be upset since he cares so much about her.
"Eh? Where are you carrying me?" Y/n asked when she finnaly back to earth and found Hanako still carrying her around but not to her class. It's not the direction to infirmary either, it's also not to the toilet, she thinks.
Hanako grins. "Guess!"
"Uhm!" Y/n frown panically. "You're not gonna throw me from the rooftop aren't you?"
"I would never do that! Do I seem like a boyfriend that likes to bring harm to his girlfriend?" He asked with sum upset face. However y/n knows that he's just teasing. He's not actually upset. With a sing-song tone, he ask her again, "Would you like to take another guess?"
"You're so strong for carrying me around this far–" Y/n sigh with worry. "Put me down. I can walk on my own. I will follow you if you just grab my hand."
"No way. What if you stumble again? Is it not comfortable in my arms?" Hanako hugs her tighter.
"That's not it–" Her voice stutter and crack. Shit! He'll know that I'm not that well yet! Why does it have to crack now :"""
"Is your throat still hurting? Are you starting to burn up again? Is it too cold here?" He ask when he finnally step into a room.
Library.
Y/n widen her eyes and gaze around before looking at Hanako's face.
"Hey, you're not answering my questions yet."
"I missed the library!" she said with a happy smile, changing the topic. Which cause Hanako to frown and lean his head close to her forehead.
"You're getting warmer... I will ask Tsuchigomori for a blanket. Looks like you can't attend class today either. Just relax here. You don't like lying on the bed all day for more right? I'll grab some books too and ask the kid to make you something warm when I see him." He said when he finnaly put her down on a chair. But when he try to get away, Y/n tugged his sleeve. "What is it? Are you feeling lonely without me?"
She ponders a bit before shouting, "Yes!"
She said it so boldly causing him to blush. He really sometimes found her quite suprising. He knows that she often got shy with him. However, she can be awfully bold like this from time to time. She acts childish but also carrying mature aura around her. People might think she's dumb at first cause she's so curious and can be too kind which will make her appear as naive when in fact she's really smart. You might think of her as someone who can carry responsibility and not the type to be spoiled however... She can be very clingy and Hanako doesn't really know how to act once she finnaly behaves like that. His heart just melt.
"But it's cold and you'll be bored." He tried to excuse himself fast. Ofc he wants to be with her but he also knows that she needs something to gather before that. He can't let her froze with him and be bored. He doesn't have body warmth. He knows that. So he hugs her tight and whisper softly. "I'll be back soon. I promise. I won't leave you alone that long cause I wanna be with you too."
"But I missed you so much... What is the point of me coming to school if I'm just gonna be alone again?" She gaze up at him with some teary eyes.
Truthfully she doesn't wanna be this emotional and make Hanako-kun feel troubled. But she just isn't feeling that well yet and it annoys her. She wish she can just let go and be obedient. Yet, she can't control herself. Her heart races uncomfortably the moment she imagines that her boyfriend will leave her even tho it's just a sec.
There's a moment of silent between the two of them until Hanako finnaly speaks, "do you want me to carry you again?"
Y/n gaze up to him and blink a few times. She put her finger in front of her lip, asking for a bold demand, "what if you just kiss me?"
"K-k-kiss you?" his face turn bright red. At moments like this she can't believe on how many people telling her that he's an awfully perverted guy. Well sure, he tease a lot and get really clingy. But he never harash her or Yashiro. He can blush furiously with a mere kiss on the cheek and some simple holding hands from her. So how on earth he's perverted? He's actually this shy even when they are dating.
"Do you not want it?" Y/n tilts her head innocently. Her eyes filled with worry. "Are you going to get sick if you kiss me?"
"That's not the case! But you shouldn't say things like that to any guy. You should be careful!" He said it with such a flustered face.
"But you're my boyfriend and I love you. That's why I said it. You're not any guy. You're my boyfriend." Y/n frowns while clicking her tongue. "We never even did it once and it's been 8 months since we're dating."
"Ugh! You're really–"
All of sudden he took her hand that keeps tugging to his sleeve. Pulling her close with one strong pull. His other hand catching on her waist to keep her stable and his lips attached to her cheek, kissing her. "That's the kiss you want. Bye!"
As fast as lightning he bolt out of the room. That's not even 3 seconds... But Y/n collapse back to her chair while touching the cheek that Hanako just kissed. She blushed hard. Her heart thumping again in triumph.
"That's just too cute–my heart!" She can't help smiling so widely behind the hand that fastly covering her face. Her heart jumped around happily. She could never feel more satisfied than this! Or perhaps~

When You Sneeze Uncontrollably Headcanon
- You really don't know since when this is happening, but everytime you sneeze, it will always follow suit with at least 4 other sneezes in a row. It could be even more than 10 and it's kinda annoying to you.
- at first when Hanako sees that, he made fun of you because it's probably just a coincidence and he doesn't think of it seriously. Well, you don't too at some point.
- but when it keeps happening, he starts worrying about your health. He finnaly asked on how you are feeling >:(
- You actually got sick a lot so those sneezes doesn't suprise you, it just means you have low stamina and less immunity as far as you know. And you don't think it's a problem so you said you're ok. However he's very concerned for you.
- He knows that you get annoyed by it and often ignored it in the end. Just as much as you don't care about it, that's how much his worries grow. He tried to play it off not too seriously cause he doesn't wanna bring your mood down. He's joking about it a bit and then got a pout :')
- He'll bring you tissues, asking you to rest like every 30 minutes when you worked on something, he doesn't even ask you much to clean the bathroom, he knows how weak you are. You get tired easily but you keep forcing yourself to do more which he regrets he didn't realise it sooner. He'll eventually realise how you're not eating much too at school and will try his best to persuade you to eat.
- before he knows it, most of the times on the school day, his attention is just for you. He's around you all the time! Because he knows if he's not around, you won't take care of yourself well. You're an unhealthy girl with bad habits, quite stubborn too. You hate to admit that, but it's true. When you focus on your works, you don't know when to stop. When it's meal time, it's a challenge to have you eat something. Really, he doesn't know how will you be without him.
- He'll ask Yashiro and Kou for help. Sometimes it works, but more of it didn't! So he's there a lot. He didn't mind it tho since you're precious to him and it become sort of his habit too. Like a mom telling you to go to school everyday. And besides, it's a perfect excuse to spend time with you everyday. Everyone let it be cause they know it's for the best. He plays an important part in your life and he's needed around. He forgot the sadness of being a lonely toilet ghost boy most of the times because of you.
- when you're about to graduate, he'll worry if you will die soon because he doesn't know if anyone will take a good care of you as much as he does, but he hope you'll live a long life!
